Mr. Haefele is a versatile and able professional whose career experience has been primarily focused on public works, commercial and industrial projects. In his career he has completed many and varied projects for Federal, State and County Agencies, Cities, Special Districts and private industry. Much of this work has taken place in urban public right of way environments and involved design and construction of underground and above ground utilities, large and small Civil structures, buildings and surface improvements. Mr. Haefele has worked with medium sized regional engineering consulting firms and is now in private practice doing Plans, Specifications and Estimates; Engineering Reports and Peer Review for site development, water, wastewater, roadway, and general civil engineering projects.

Mr. Haefele left a career in Aerospace in 1990 to take a job as a project manager for a local A/E consulting firm in Indiana, completing his licensure while working under Civil, Mechanical and Electrical engineers. Since that time he has been in responsible charge of many projects taking in a wide range of the concerns of public agencies and commercial/industrial clients.

Site development projects included site layout and improvement plans, grading and drainage plans, storm water site plans, site utility plans, treatment plant yard piping plans and treatment plant site electrical plans.

Roadway projects include curb/gutter and sidewalk replacement projects, handicapped ramp projects, box culverts, roadway slurry seal, chip seal, overlay and reconstruction projects, utility under grounding projects, downtown beautification projects and roadway lighting projects.

Water and wastewater related projects include water and sewer rate studies, sewer metering studies, treatment and disinfection projects, water system network modeling, well development, water main extensions and replacements, water booster stations, sewer lift stations, electrical distribution and control for pump stations and treatment works, standby generator systems and private and community water system design and permitting.

Building related projects include foundation plans; construction drawings and specifications; shear, stability and beam calculations; plumbing design and electrical distribution and control drawings for commercial and industrial occupancies.

Mr. Haefele is a member of the American Public Works Association (APWA), the American Waterworks Association (AWWA), the Water Environment Federation(WEF) and served on the Water Treatment Committee of the AWWA Northwest Section.
