Wayne Haefele & Associates has been in business since 2001. We have completed projects in California and mainland Washington though most of our recent projects have been in the San Juan Islands.
The focus of our business is public works engineering, although we sometimes do structural work for architects and occasionally work for business clients on commercial building projects. We work extensively with state permitting agencies and local building departments during design, and understand the role and limits of the building (and other) codes with respect to these kinds of construction.
With few exceptions we complete our contracts without subcontractors. Because of this we are able to deliver prompt and accurate information to clients upon request without complication by outside parties. We enjoy the independence and control that comes with being a small, personal father and son business.

We do a wide range of public works projects efficiently and well. Time is taken to communicate with operation and maintenance staff in every facility we work on. The company produces engineering drawings using AutoCad and Autodesk Civil 3D. We make extensive use of mobile work stations and electronic technology to perform work and stay connected with team members and clients. All project documentation is available to us at any time whether in the office or in the field.
